Since 1906, the Impregilo Group has constructed large-scale infrastructures that have contributed to the economic and social growth of many countries around the world. Today, its core activities in this area centre on railways, dams and hydroelectric plants, roads, motorways and subways, as well as marine works and specialised subsoil structures.
Over the years Impregilo has built thousands of miles of communication infrastructure: roads, motorways, railways, bridges, viaducts, tunnels and some of the most modern subways, as well as major hydroelectric plants and dams, a field where the Group is one of the world’s top constructors.
Thanks to its expertise and know-how, in addition to pure building contracts Impregilo handles projects involving the engineering, construction and subsequent management of the infrastructure on a concession basis, supported by complex project financing arrangements.
Impregilo is currently working on the world’s two most complex projects: the expansion of the Panama Canal and the bridge over the Messina Straits. Two projects that will be milestones in civil engineering advances in the XXI century, in which the Group’s involvement confirms its acknowledged worldwide leadership.
Impregilo has also developed outstanding capabilities in high-profile international civil architecture building projects. |
